Shell Crux Cantilever Piperack

The Shell Crux Cantilever Piperack project, successfully completed by Revision Zero in 2025, is located approximately 190 km off the Kimberley Coast of Western Australia and 620 km north-east of Broome. As a key component of Shell Australia’s Crux gas field development, the facility supports the Prelude FLNG through a 160 km export pipeline. The not-normally manned (NNM) platform features five production wells operating in water depths of around 165 metres, forming a critical part of Shell’s strategy to ensure long-term gas supply to the Prelude facility.

Revision Zero was engaged to deliver a complete package of  3D modelling, and structural steel detailing services for the project. Our scope included the preparation of highly detailed fabrication drawings and construction models covering 121 tonnes of steelworks and 31.6 metres of handrails. These deliverables were developed to meet stringent offshore engineering standards, ensuring precision, safety, and constructability throughout all stages of design and fabrication.

By leveraging advanced 3D modelling tools and a collaborative design approach, Revision Zero facilitated real-time coordination between engineers, fabricators, and construction teams. This digital integration minimized design clashes, reduced rework, and optimized material use, contributing to a smooth and efficient construction process.

Through this project, Revision Zero demonstrated its capability to deliver complex offshore infrastructure under strict safety, quality, and schedule requirements. The company’s involvement in the Crux development highlights its commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and its ongoing contribution to Australia’s offshore energy sector.
