The Texas Deck Project is an offshore structural extension installed on the Crux offshore platform, part of Shell’s Crux gas field development in the Browse Basin, approximately 620 km north-east of Broome off the Kimberley Coast of Western Australia. This project forms part of the Shell Crux Project, supporting the platform’s operational capacity and enabling the production and export of gas from the Crux field to the Prelude FLNG facility.
Its purpose is to provide a safe and accessible working area for offshore operations, including the installation and maintenance of piping and utilities, access to the cantilever Piperack, and support for offshore construction and operational activities.
The project was awarded to Revision Zero to provide structural steel detailing and 3D modelling for this offshore structure. Our scope included preparing construction 3D models and fabrication drawings for approximately 30.48 tonnes of steelwork and 38.40 linear metres of handrails.
This project reflects our involvement in offshore detailing works and our continued support of complex structural projects in challenging environments.
