Arncliffe Station Upgrade

September 2021 Revision Zero marked a further project completion, the extended canopy for Arncliffe Station Upgrade located on the Illawarra line serving the Sydney suburb, Australia as part of the NSW Government’s more trains, more services program.

Arncliffe Station Upgrade

Arncliffe Station is one of the few remaining original buildings in the metropolitan area and one of the best examples of suburban architecture from the boom period of railway construction between 1870 and 1880.

The canopy extensions upgrade will encourage commuters to use the full length of the platform in all weather conditions, to ease platform congestions during busy times.

Improvements includes a new structural steel canopies to cover almost the entire length of the platforms with approximately 20 tons of steel. Though it’s not a significantly large project, but a very rewarding, nevertheless.
