Revision Zero successfully completed the Ballarat Station upgrade during the 3rd quarter of 2025. The station, located on Lydiard Street North in central Ballarat, Victoria, serves as a key regional transport hub, with connections to the Ballarat CBD, bus interchange, and nearby parking facilities. Construction of the overall facility is still ongoing and is expected to be completed in April 2026.
The station required upgrades to improve accessibility, safety, and connectivity. The previous layout restricted internal pedestrian movement and forced some passengers to cross the rail corridor outside the station precinct. The new pedestrian bridge provides a fully accessible crossing, ensuring people with disability along with those carrying luggage can move safely and independently across the rail line without leaving the station.
Revision Zero’s scope was limited to 3D modelling services and the preparation of drawings for the structural steel of the pedestrian overpass for approximately 54 tons, focusing on the primary structural elements while ensuring integration with the station’s heritage-listed buildings.
The successful delivery of this scope demonstrates Revision Zero’s expertise in steel detailing, specifically for the overpass steel, ensuring an accurate, precise, and constructible fit during installation, while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with all safety standards.
