Carrapateena – Pre-Production Feeder

OZ Minerals is continuing to expand its mining operations. Carrapateena is wholly owned by OZ minerals and one of the biggest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade. It represents one of the largest copper reserves in Australia. Carrapateena copper-gold project is located on the 250 km south-east of Prominent Hill, 160 km north of the regional centre of Port Augusta, in South Australia. It has the potential to produce 65,000t of copper and 67,000oz of gold a year over the mine’s 20 years life.

In 2021, Revision Zero was awarded a further smaller package of the Carrapateena Project as a continuation of the last few years work on the major packages of this project. This package included the modelling and shop detailing of structural and mechanical items for their existing Pre-Production Feeder, including the support steelworks, feeder head chute, feeder head end, handrails, gratings, platform and walkways (including the electrical enclosures).
