The HVO Howick CPP Chutes Project is part of the Howick Coal Preparation Plant (HCPP) at Hunter Valley Operations (HVO), one of Australia’s major open-cut coal mining complexes located near Lemington, approximately 24 km north-west of Singleton in the Upper Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia.#
The project involved upgrading the plant’s chute assemblies to improve coal handling reliability and safety by better managing material flow and reducing blockages, enhancing the transfer of coal between conveyors and processing equipment, and decreasing maintenance needs and operational downtime. These modernised chutes and wear liners also supported the safe restart and sustainable ongoing operation of the Howick CHPP following an extended shutdown for plant refurbishment.
The Project was awarded to Revision Zero on the month of May and finished in June 2025, a specialist steel detailing and 3D modelling company, where we leveraged our expertise to deliver highly accurate structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings for this complex offshore structure. Our scope included preparing construction-ready 3D models and fabrication drawings of approximately 6.75 tonnes of steel works.
By applying our expertise in steel detailing, we ensured precision, constructability, and compliance with offshore standards, demonstrating our capability to support complex, large-scale offshore projects.
