The Nightingale Village is a collection of six neighbouring buildings, with a different award-winning architect designing each. The Village will be Australia’s first carbon-neutral residential precinct located at Duckett Street, Brunswick. This project required Revision Zero to work closely with Architects and Consulting Engineers.
Nightingale Village is close to the CBD, with multiple public transport options and local schools, community groups, and parks. It’s not an urban experiment, but a chance to change how housing is built on a broader scale and create intelligent, deliberative, and aims to provide livable density. “It’s about building less, to give more“.
It could be said that there’s no better way to test your powers of collaboration and the resilience of the peer review process than to produce a large residential project with six other architectural firms together with Revision Zero.
Our scope was to supply 3D BIM modelling and shop detailing of all the balustrades for the six buildings. This project certainly had significant challenges within it’s design due to interface with multiple trades. Overcoming these challenges and working through it’s unique attributes, we were able to achieve a successful outcome for our client by proactively coordinating with the Fabricator, Builder, Designers, and other Consultants.
