In 2024, Revision Zero successfully completed the Temporary Timber Bridges project in New South Wales, Australia. Located at Nirimba TAFE College on Eastern Road, Quakers Hill, approximately 45 km from Sydney, this project addressed a specific transportation requirement.
Temporary timber bridges are essential for short-term transportation solutions. Constructed primarily from timber due to its availability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of assembly and disassembly, these structures offer a practical approach to maintaining transportation continuity. They are especially valuable in emergency situations, where rapid deployment is critical for infrastructure support.
Revision Zero was tasked with providing the steel components for the bridge, which weighed approximately 3 tons. To ensure precise alignment of the steel fittings, detailed modelling of the timber structure was required. This project offered Revision Zero an excellent opportunity to demonstrate its precision and meticulous attention to detail in structural steel fabrication and bridge construction.
