Ulan Coal

Revision Zero successfully finished the Ulan Coal project in the third quarter of 2024. The project is situated approximately 45 kilometres north-east of Mudgee, close to the village of Ulan in central-west New South Wales.

The Ulan Coal Mines comprise both underground and surface operations, representing one of the region’s most enduring coal mining ventures. The mine generated more than 11.5 million tonnes of marketable coal, contributing around A$1.7 billion to the economy, which includes A$494 million spent on goods and services from over 920 suppliers.

Revision Zero’s scope of work for the upgrade project involved 3D modeling and shop detailing of approximately 140 tons of structural steel and mechanical chutes, along with around 110 linear meters of handrail. The new structure was to integrate seamlessly with the existing framework, and Revision Zero’s proven expertise in interfacing with pre-existing structures ensured an accurate and precise fit during installation.
