West Angelas

Revision Zero possesses the capability to handle projects ranging from small-scale operations involving just a few tonnes to large-scale endeavors requiring the management of thousands of tonnes. With many years of experience, Revision Zero has established itself as a leader in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for mining projects. A testament to this expertise is the successful completion of the West Angelas project in 2019.

Located in the Hamersley Ranges region in East Pilbara, approximately 110 kilometres northwest of Newman, the West Angelas iron ore mine is a cutting-edge facility. It employs automated trucks, rock breakers, drills, and blasting operations, all controlled remotely from the Perth operations centre. The mine has an impressive annual production capacity of 29.5 million tonnes of iron ore, extracted solely through open-pit operations. This substantial output highlights its critical role in the global iron ore supply chain, meeting significant demand for this essential resource.

Revision Zero was entrusted with the scope of work to deliver workshop fabrication drawings and 3D modelling services for structural steel, plate work, conveyors, and ancillary steelwork for the project. By providing comprehensive fabrication drawings and meticulous detailing, Revision Zero demonstrated its commitment to quality and efficiency, playing a crucial role in supporting the project’s construction phases. This accomplishment reinforces their reputation as a trusted partner in the engineering and construction industry.
