Project Milestone: HVO Tailings | Hunter Valley, NSW
In the last quarter of 2024, Revision Zero proudly delivered comprehensive 3D modelling and steel detailing services for the HVO Tailings Project, part of the broader Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) Continuation Project—a significant initiative in one of Australia’s most productive coal regions.
Located 24 km northwest of Singleton, the Hunter Valley is a globally recognised mining hub, producing premium thermal and metallurgical coal for both domestic and international markets. HVO is a large-scale, open-cut coal mining complex operating under two planning approvals: HVO North and HVO South, separated by the Hunter River. It has been in operation for over 70 years.
The HVO Continuation Project is designed to extend mine life to 2050, ensuring long-term support for local jobs, economic activity, and regional communities.
Our Scope of Work
Revision Zero was engaged to deliver detailed steel modelling and shop drawings for approximately 40 tonnes of structural steel and 75 linear meters of the handrail. Key components included:
Tailings Buffer Tank, including liner integration
Flocculant Plant – structural framing and miscellaneous pipe supports
Pump Station – including pipe supports and steel structures
Our team worked collaboratively to ensure precision and efficiency from modelling through to fabrication. Our contribution played a vital role in supporting critical water and tailings infrastructure for this high-value mining project.
Why It Matters
Projects like HVO Tailings showcase our technical capability, attention to detail, and commitment to supporting sustainable, long-term infrastructure in Australia’s resource sector. We’re proud to help shape the future of mining through smart, reliable steel detailing solutions.
